My name is Conor Sherwood, Co-CEO and Director of EcoBore Solutions.

I founded EcoBore Solutions because drilling has been more than just a career to me. It has been my profession, my passion, and my way of life for over 18 years. Having grown up around heavy machinery and construction sites, I developed a deep respect for the industry from an early age. Working across the UK has taught me that success in drilling is built on experience, integrity, and doing every job properly the first time.

Throughout my career, I have worked across a wide range of drilling disciplines, including water boreholes, site investigation, geothermal drilling, piling, and soakaway installations. Every project has presented its own challenges, from varying ground conditions to complex engineering requirements, allowing me to build extensive practical knowledge across the sector. Over the years, I have been involved in the successful completion of well over 1,000 boreholes nationwide.

As the renewable energy sector continued to grow, I recognised the increasing demand for high-quality geothermal drilling delivered by experienced professionals who genuinely understand the importance of precision and long-term performance. Too often, projects were compromised by shortcuts and poor workmanship. I knew there was a better way.

EcoBore Solutions was established to provide a professional, dependable drilling service built on traditional values: honesty, reliability, quality workmanship, and accountability. We believe every metre drilled should be completed to the highest standard because what lies beneath the surface is just as important as what people see above it.

We are proud to be a family-run business where every project receives personal attention from an experienced team. Alongside me, Robert Rourke helps lead the company, while Karl plays an integral role in the continued growth of the business. Our Lead Driller, Macauley, oversees our field operations, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
